When you read about all the cases and causes of pollution in the world, or even worse, visit your nearest beach, you might be thinking to yourself whether it’s ever going to get better.
Yes, we’re talking about pollution and while it’s believed that developing countries might have more flaws regarding water pollution and the cleanliness of their water, it’s, in fact, the developed countries that come under fire, as they struggle to keep to the standards of what it means to keep water clean.
Poorer countries/regions are not in the clear, however. Sometimes, water scarcity occurs in countries, due to a lack of knowledge and maintenance by governments and the people living in those countries, that have resulted in some of the worst polluted water in the world.
China, a country thought to be one of the most polluted in the world, due to its big scale industrial activity, which has caused various sources of pollution, is thought to finally be doing something about the pressing situation, which is water pollution.
For years, the country has been dumping industrial, as well as household waste, chemicals, fertilisers, and pesticides into the water, without having a care in the world, which has finally been taken note of in the country.
Water scarcity has led to change
Sometimes the experience of disadvantages, causes a country to act outside of what has become the norm.
The government has reportedly recognized the problem surrounding water scarcity in the country and is desperately working towards cleaning up all polluted lakes and rivers within the country, as they would like to use it for manufacturing and agriculture.
They have also made an effort to keep a close eye on the water that is being consumed daily. Even though they are optimistic about the future of their water quality and supply, there are many sources of pollution that exceeds environmental capacity, that will also have to be addressed, to be able to make the biggest change.
