Water, the life saving drink without which we could not survive! A human being needs the approximately 70% water in the body to remain constant for it to work optimally. Without water the human body dehydrates and this creates a number of health problems, including headaches, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, decrease in cognitive ability and more.
Most of us take water for granted because we live in first world countries, and access to this life-saving drink is easy and on the whole the water doesn’t taste too bad. Life in other, developing countries is not that easy however, and there are millions of people worldwide that have insufficient drinking water or have drinking water that is not pure or toxin-free.
To get an idea of how important water is to human life, just imagine that there is a problem with a burst water main in your area and you do not have access to water for a week. This is what you will be facing:
- No drinking water
- No water to make tea or coffee
- No water to wash yourself
- No water to wash the dishes
- No water with which to cook
- No water to flush the toilet
- No water to give to your pets
- No water to water the plants and veggies
Do you think that you could handle that for a week? How much money would it cost you to go out and buy bottled water (if you are in a country in which you can buy it), and how much would you need to buy to ensure that you have enough drinking water and water for other purposes?
Now imagine that you live in a country where such luxuries as bottled water are not available, where there are no taps, where you are totally dependent on the food that you grow and the only water you can get is from the river which has dried up because of drought.
Have you got an inkling now of how important water is to humankind? Have you thought of ideas of conserving water so that this scenario does not affect more of the world? Okay, good, now what are you going to do about ensuring that you get enough drinking water for the next few days until the mains pipe has been fixed?
It may be difficult to think through the debilitating thirst and that blinding headache, and it may be a bit late to do something about the current situation. Lucky for you, because you have just opened the tap and after it spat and spurted at you it let go of the life-giving elixir that your body so desperately needs.
Ensuring you never go through that again is fairly easy; all you have to do is invest in a home water cooler and get your boss to invest in an office water cooler too. Bottled water coolers are a life-saver for those times when there is a water delivery problem due to a broken pipe because all you have to do is press a button or push a lever to get a lovely glass of chilled, life saving water to drink.
Of course bottled water coolers are not only good for times of water scarcity, as they supply a virtually endless supply of pure, fresh, great-tasting, chilled water virtually 24/7. Investing in a home water cooler or an office water cooler is investing in your own health and that of your family or employees, as it encourages everyone to drink water more often.
Bottled office water coolers or bottled home water coolers will ensure that you drink cool, healthy, life-giving and life-sustaining water regularly, keeping your body fully hydrated. This is important as a mere 2% -3% dehydration will cause headaches, a dry mouth, thirst, and a drop in your ability to perform more difficult brain tasks such a mathematical calculations. Not drinking water at this stage will lead to further dehydration which can lead to more dangerous health problems such a heart problems, kidney problems, raised blood sugar levels and more.
