How to reduce the cost of a water coolerCan a water cooler be reclaimed as a legitimate business expense??

ED MILIBAND – Dec 2009

Expense claims revealed how Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband used taxpayer-funded spring water for his office spending more than £1,000 on a water cooler for his constituency base.

Living-Water feels Ed was criticized by the press but we cannot see how this would not be a perfectly legitimate expense and is in no way questionable.

The importance of water and its associated benefits in regards to work are well proven and documented and we applaud Ed in making sure he, his staff and family remain well hydrated.

Hundreds of thousands of water coolers can be found across the UK in both private and government businesses. These are all able to be deducted as perfectly legitimate business expenses.

The press should never criticize a government Minister for simply using his common sense. Living-Water’s marketing database reveals that a whopping 86% of the businesses we cold call in London to offer our services, already have a or a number of water coolers.

Ed was hardly reinventing the wheel and I guess his party felt the same way as he was elected Leader of the Labour party in September 2010.
