Now that you have made the decision to get a home water cooler, and have done your research as to price, style, fit, look, capacity etc. it is time to do the final bit of research into which water company you are going to get your water cooler from.
Not all companies offer the same types of water coolers, and not all water companies offer the same services, so this is an important part of your final decision -making process. Ignore this at your own peril.
Questions to Ask When Choosing a Home Water Cooler Supplier
When researching which home water cooler supplier to use, it is best to have a list of questions to ask them:
- Type: Does the supplier have the type of water cooler that you decided on when doing your research?
- Delivery & Setup: Will the supplier deliver your water cooler and set it up for you? Will their representative show you how to use it correctly and how to service it if necessary?
- Free Trial Period: Many water companies will offer a free trial period so that you can see whether the water cooler that you have chosen to buy is the right fit
- Rental: Do you have to buy the home water cooler or does the water company have a rental option?
- Refills: How often will the supplier come to refill the water bottles in your water cooler? Can they guarantee that you will have a continuous supply?
- Type of Water: What kind of water does the supplier use to fill their water bottles? This is important as some companies have been found to use ordinary tap water and charge for spring water. Ask for a guarantee that they are using what they advertise.
- Sanitisation: Does the supplier offer sanitisation of your water cooler in your home on a regular basis?
- Warranty: Does the suppler offer a decent warranty on their home water coolers? Does this warranty go beyond what the manufacturer offers, and does it cover problems that may occur during installation?
- British Water Cooler Association (BWA): Suppliers that belong to the BWCA must comply with very strict rules, regulations and guidelines regarding sanitation, water quality, service, training of personnel and more, so you can rest assured if your water supply company is a member of BWCA.
Take all of the above into consideration when buying a home water cooler; it is an investment in your and your family’s health!
