The human body consists of about 70% water, but we lose this throughout the day via sweating, urination, breathing and various other methods. If you are still struggling to drink water as much as you should throughout the day even though you have easy access to fresh chilled water from the office water cooler, here are a few ideas to make drinking water regularly even easier:
- Add a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime to the water
- Add a dash of cranberry juice to a jug or glass of water – this will sweeten it slightly and cranberries are good for you
- Add a couple of drops of rose water to your glass for a sublime drink
- Crush some basil leaves up and let them steep in a jug of water and pour a lovely glass of aromatic drink from it
- Flavour your chilled water with green tea for a lovely, healthy glass of iced tea
- Freeze some orange or Clementine slices and use them as ice cubes; even though the water from the office water cooler is already chilled, it may get a bit warm in a jug or bottle on your desk and the ice cubes will keep it chilled for longer and add a bit of taste
- For a lovely refreshing and healthy zing, add a few slices of cucumber to your drinking water
- Fresh mint leaves in your chilled drinking water will make your mouth feel instantly fresh and tingly
- Pour a jug full of chilled water from the office water cooler and add some crushed berries to the jug and let them infuse your water before drinking it
- Add some pineapple chunks to a jug of chilled water cooler water and let them soak for a while for a lovely Caribbean taste
