There are many good reasons why you should invest in a water cooler, such as the fact that a water cooler can provide you and your colleagues or loved ones with clear, crisp, chilled drinking water at the touch of a button virtually non-stop, but the best reason for me is so that you can stop drinking the toxic fluoride that is in your tap water.
Industrial sodium fluoride has been used in the world’s water supply for many years under the guise that it is good for us and provides dental health for those who cannot afford dentists, but this is just not true. In fact, in many of the countries that use fluoride in their water, it has been proven that fluoride causes discolouring and pitting in youngsters’ teeth and is toxic to humans in general.
In a report by Dr Phillippe Grandjean and Philip J. Landrigan, MD, which was published in the world’s oldest and most prestigious medical journal, The Lancet, fluoride has officially been classified as a neurotoxin in the same category as arsenic, lead and mercury.
A systematic review on drinking water actually identified five similar industrial chemicals as developmental neurotoxins: arsenic, lead, methylmercury, polychlorinated biphenyls, and toluene. In the summary, another six developmental neurotoxicants have also been identified: chlorpyrifos, fluoride, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, manganese, tetrachloroethylene, and the polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
The authors of the report say that it is irresponsible to use chemicals that have not been tested should not be presumed to be safe to brain development and that neurodevelopmental disabilities, including attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia, and other cognitive impairments, are affecting millions of children globally. The report suggests that all chemicals currently in use should also be tested for developmental neurotoxicity.
This report coincides with the 2013 National Institutes of Health funded meta-analysis by a Harvard University which concluded that children in areas with highly fluoridated water have “significantly lower†IQ scores that those who live in areas with low amounts of fluoride in their water supplies.
Sodium fluoride in drinking water, which is functionally different to naturally-occurring calcium fluoride, has also been linked to various cancers.
Investing in a water cooler will ensure that you are not ingesting toxic fluoride every time you drink a glass of water. Living-Water offers a range of both bottled water coolers filled with spring water which is bottled at source and mains water coolers which can be fitted with their own triple-action carbon filter that filters out all toxins, including fluoride.
