The United States government has finally admitted that it has overdosed Americans on fluoride in their drinking water and is lowering the recommended level of fluoride in drinking water for the first time since 1962.
According the Center for Disease (CDC), around 40% percent of Americans have dental fluorosis, which is a condition in which the appearance of tooth enamel changes and is marred by chalky-looking lines, blotches, dark staining and pitting caused by long-term ingestion of fluoride during the formative years.
US Government Admits Fluoride Overdosage
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the optimal fluoride level in drinking water should be 0.7 milligrams of fluoride per litre of water (mg/L), down from the previous accepted fluoride levels of 0.7 to 1.2 of water mg/L.fluoride level of 0.7 to 1.2 of water mg/L.
According to the HHS, this change has come about because people now have more access to various sources of fluoride than before, including toothpaste and mouth rinses that were not available when fluoride was initially added to the drinking water.
Dental fluorosis however is not the only concern with fluoride ingestion; if fluoride is having a visually detrimental effect on the enamel of your teeth, imagine what it could be doing other parts of your body, such as your bones.
Skeletal fluorosis for instance, is very difficult to distinguish from arthritis, and could well be happening without you knowing. Symptoms indicative of early clinical stage skeletal fluorosis include:
- Burning, prickling, and tingling in your limbs
- Chronic fatigue
- Gastrointestinal disorders
- Muscle weakness
- Reduced appetite and weight loss
In later stages, skeletal fluorosis could also be indicated by anaemia, calcification of tendons or ligaments of ribs and pelvis, osteoporosis in the long bones, stiff joints and/or constant pain in your bones; brittle bones; and osteosclerosis.
Remember, once fluoride is swallowed, it does solely collect in your teeth enamel; it accumulates throughout your body’s bones and tissues, so to be on the safe side rather get your drinking water from a water cooler fitted with a Living-Water Triple Activated Carbon Filter.
