Choosing the right type of water cooler includes choosing the best price, style, fit, look, and capacity, but your decision should also include choosing the right water cooler company.
Just as not all drinks companies or furniture companies, for instance, are not the same, so too are water cooler companies not all the same. Different water cooler companies offer different types of water coolers, and not all water companies offer the same services.
In order to ensure that the water cooler company that you choose to deal with is the right one for you and offers everything that you want, it is important that you ask certain questions:
- British Water Cooler Association (BWA): This is very important, because companies that belong to the BWCA must comply with very strict rules, regulations and guidelines regarding sanitation, water quality, service, training of personnel and more.
- Delivery: Does the supplier deliver and will they set up your water cooler for you? Do they offer training on correct usage and how to service it if necessary?
- Free Trial Period: Some water companies offer a free trial period so that you can see whether the water cooler that you have chosen to buy is the right fit
- Refills: In the case of a bottled water cooler, how often will the supplier refill the water bottles and do they guarantee that a continuous supply?
- Rental: Do you have to buy the water cooler or does the water company have a rental option?
- Sanitisation: Does the supplier offer sanitisation of your water cooler on a regular basis?
- Type of Water: In the case of a bottled water cooler, what kind of water is used to use to fill the water bottles? This is important as some companies have been found to use ordinary tap water and charge for spring water.
- Type: Does the supplier carry the type of water cooler that you decided on when doing your research?
- Warranty: Does the suppler offer a decent warranty on their water coolers? Does this warranty go beyond what the manufacturer offers, and does it cover problems that may occur during installation?
