In this day and age of polluted groundwater, rivers and lakes, and even toxins in the tap water, it is wise to invest in a water cooler to ensure that your drinking water is pure and free of contaminants.
Modern water coolers are smaller and sexier than ever before, and can even be colour-coordinated to your home or office decor. Of course if you have children at home, having a home water cooler is not just a fad, it is a great investment as it is about the only way that you stand a chance of getting them to drink more healthy water and less carbonated drinks.
It is important though that you purchase the water that is suited to your particular circumstances and budget, whether it be a home water cooler or an office water cooler that you are thinking of purchasing.
There are basically two types of water coolers; bottled water coolers and mains water coolers, also known as point-of-use (POU) water coolers, which are plumbed directly into the main water line and can be fitted with a water filter.
Bottled Water Coolers are great for homes or smaller businesses of up to about 150 staff members, and come in mounted, standing, under-counter or counter-top models. There are some great models and even some, such as the Living Water bottled water coolers, which dispense Living-Water Spring Water from the Wenlock range. The disadvantage of bottled water coolers is that one requires space to store both empty and full bottles and must arrange for regular delivery of fresh water; changing the bottles can also be a bit of a problem as the full bottles can be quite heavy.
Mains Water Coolers also come in various models, some of which can provide cold, ambient and hot water options. Mains water coolers also come in standing, under-counter or counter-top models. The upmarket models also offer other advantages such as Direct Chill Capacity, Self-Cleaning and more, and can be fitted with a filter to ensure that no toxins reach your glass. Of course, there is also no need for extra storage space as there are no bottles to be stored.
